Artwork Storage

How do you keep and store 300+ student's artwork until April? Storage boxes! I made a promise to myself that this year I was going to find a way to keep student artwork organized! To help save me a lot of head aches during art show time. Well I unpacked a whole lot of copy paper to get this box collection! Here's to a more organized year!

Welcome Back Artists!

We have new paintbrushes this year! Enjoy how pretty they are now because they won't stay this clean for long! I am so excited for a new year of art with the students! I can tell it's going to be a really great year!

6th grade Maps

6th Grade are putting the finishing touches on their maps! Credit for this lesson goes to my favorite place for lessons, Deep Space Sparkle! I even burned the edges a little to give them a worn effect! Check out how they turned out!!

6th Grade 1 point perspective farm landscapes

6th Grade did really well on their one point perspective farm scenes! We discussed foreground, middle ground and background. They drew their scarecrows first in the foreground, then drew their horizon line with the their vanishing point and added crop rows with a crop for the middle ground. A barn or some sort of building was added in the background. We used watercolor crayons for color.

Back to School Night

It's finally time for back to school night! Right now the classroom looks ready, but I feel like I still have a million things to do! It was wonderful to see the community come out and see the new school! I was overwhelmed by how many students and parents came to see the art room! I am very proud of the new school and I know we have all been working really hard to get everything ready in time! I looking forward to an awesome school year!

Unpacking Complete!!

Unpacking is officially finished!! Everything is put away and now I'm trying out table arrangements!! It feels good to have everything in it's new permanent place!

                                  

Unpacking!!

This week has begun the unpacking process for me! I have lots of art supplies since I combined rooms but that's a good problem to have! Now to figure out where to put everything!

Ralls County Elementary front!!

The name is proudly displayed now at Ralls County Elementary! Only a few more days until moving day!!

Moving Day!!!

A moving day date is finally set!! Officially getting really excited!!

Packing complete!

Rooms are all packed up and ready to move to the new art room! Shout out to my sister for helping me pack and keeping me organized! Let summer officially begin!

                 

Cabinets!!

So... the cabinets are put in and they are more beautiful than I imagined! Who gets this excited about cabinets and counters? The art teacher does!!

New school Preview!

Finally made it inside the new school! As you can see construction is still going on but it's looking awesome! More updates to come!
